About Nina Dobrev

Nina Dobrev is a Canadian actress, musician and model. She was born January 9, 1989 in Sofia, Bulgaria to the name Nina Constantinova Dobreva. Although born in Bulgaria, Nina moved to Toronto, Canada at the age of two. At a young age she became active in many forms of the arts including acting and theatre, music, dance, visual arts and gymnastics. Her modeling led to a burgeoning acting career. Her break came with the popular television series Degrassi: The Next Generation where she played Mia Jones from 2006 to 2009. Nina turned some heads with the MTV television movie and answer to High School Musical, The American Mall in which she played an aspiring singer and songwriter by the name of Ally. Nina is currently staring as Elena Gilbert in the CW network series The Vampire Diaries.

Nina Dobrev represented Canada competing in Aesthetic Gymnastics. She currently lives in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.

Nina Dobrev has brown hair, brown eyes and stands 5 ft 6 1/2 in (1.69 m) tall. Her zodiac sign is Capricorn.
